ELB Fireplaces began when plasterer Eric Bellis fitted one in his home and the supplier asked him if he wanted to buy his stock. Eric gambled his savings, bought the lot and set up shop selling out of his garage.Soon he was selling them to Redrow Homes and national housebuilders and within two years he quit his artexing business to concentrate on Fireplaces. ELB operate a fitting service for house builders covering the Midlands, the North West, Lake District and Yorkshire and five years ago opened up a retail shop in Twist Lane, Leigh.
